Warren Worthington III, also known as Angel and later Archangel, is a mutant superhero from Marvel Comics. He first appeared in *X-Men* #1 (September 1963).
Born into wealth, Warren discovered his mutant ability to sprout large, feathered wings from his back. Initially, he used his powers to help people anonymously. However, he soon embraced his abilities and joined Professor X's X-Men as Angel.
Angel possesses the power of flight, incredible agility, and heightened senses. He is a skilled aerial combatant. A significant turning point in his history came when his wings were severely damaged, leading to a transformation into Archangel, a darker and more powerful version with metallic wings. As Archangel he became known as the Red Angel, a formidable and sometimes ruthless force.
